As above. I’m 57 years old, size 12, look alright.

I’m in a corporate job and would like some guidance about some looks I can wear to the office.

over the past 10 years I’ve worn a lot of dresses. I am guessing that has reached its sell by date:

What are women wearing these days? Can you direct me somewhere?

thank you xx

What’s your height?

M&S do great silk shirts (don't need ironing #bonus). Wear with/without cashmere vests, barrel trousers, maybe belt plus suede ballet flats. All M&S 😳

I’ve seen trousers with silk blouses and trainers. The occasional blazer. But a dress will always be in style, like a classic shift or a boat neck knit with a pleated skirt.

Definitely ballet flats, with a strap. Sort of a modern Mary Jane.

@singswithitsfingers without some idea of your height and budget it’s a bit of a waste of time for posters to respond.

What I wore last week to the office (pretty standard smart-casual business dress code):

Black flared high waisted trousers, black silk shirt, slim black belt, red pointed toe flats

Burgundy flared cords, ivory silk shirt (untucked), navy round neck jumper with shirt cuffs rolled over jumper sleeves, tan loafers

White breton tee, straight leg ivory tailored trousers, black blazer, black block heeled ankle boots

All with a tan satchel-type laptop bag and an oversized khaki trench

Offices are SO much more casual than they used to be. Ten years ago I’d have worn a smart sheath dress, a blazer, sheer tights and heels.
