Has anyone used the Mulberry exchange service?

I was wondering if anybody has used the exchange programme with Mulberry? I have a green Alexa that I have used twice. It’s a beautiful bag but quite bulky and heavy even before you start filling it! It’s been sitting unused for two years now.

I’m wary of selling on Vinted/ebay, too many horror stories of people claiming they’ve been sold fake or damaged goods and getting a refund. Any idea on what I’m looking at for them to buy it back? Ideally I’d like a Billie and while I’m willing to contribute a bit I’d obviously like them to cover as much of the cost as possible.

Sorry op, I can’t comment on the service, but following with interest as I have a few mulberries not being used and would probably like a newer model!

I have sold Mulberrys on Vestiare and The Handbag Clinic. Both seemed a better option than Mulberry Exchange finanacially. I cant remember how much it is was but definitely less than 50% of new value.

It’s a great scheme and you can be sure the one you swap it for is authentic which is a huge bonus.

I enquired with the buy back service about a few bags years ago and they were offering a fraction of the cost, like maybe 15% of the original price and less than half of what you’d get selling privately.

i think it’s highly unlikely you’re going to get anywhere near the cost of a Billie covered unfortunately.

I’ve had success selling on Vinted and eBay, vestaire and the mulberry specific Facebook pages. Some took a while to sell and I maybe got slightly less than I wanted but much much more than mulbs was offering. Vinted and eBay offer a verification service which helps take some of the stress out of it, but I’m an experienced seller and can understand why people are reluctant to use these platforms.

I’ve also done my research and bought from these groups too and got some amazing bags so it’s worth looking into, just do your research on the groups and sellers and always record yourself packaging up the bag if you sell it.

Like @VWGolfmk2i looked into the buy back scheme for an unused Darley. They offered me £75 for it. It was still in the packaging and I just didn’t use it. It was bright pink and I’m not sure why I bought it really!
I went on to sell it on Facebook marketplace place for £200.
there’s definitely other ways to sell to get what want, but equally there’s no harm in making the enquiry and seeing what they offer

That’s disappointing. I can’t see many real life experiences from googling either. From what I can see it tends to be in the 15%-25% back if you have a receipt. £75 when it’s still in the box is ridiculous.

I’d probably take 25%. There’s a pre loved Billie online for £495 and that would be a good chunk of that. It’s extremely frustrating as it’s pretty much new. Not a scratch or mark on it. I’d probably feel less annoyed if I’d got a good two years wear out of it and it was a bit bashed around. It would feel less like daylight robbery anyway 😂
