Super comfy but good quality/looks good?

I need some warm comfy weekend “doing stuff” clothes. The older I get the more I hate construction and annoying labels/fiddly bits. I can’t wear wool as it’s too scratchy. I’m happy to pay for a few lovely pieces - I have lots of cheap ones but realistically these are the clothes I wear most so I want to upgrade them.

I’m size 10 and based in Scotland. Thanks!

What kind of stuff are you doing? Out for coffee with friends or supermarket and post office run? I have a “good” pair of Uniqlo fleece lined straight jogging bottoms that are super warm and cosy and decent sweatshirts that are neat and tidy enough for nipping to the post office, but I wouldn’t wear for anything more involved.

I suppose a bit of everything. I have plenty of smart lunch clothes it’s more the supermarket/walk with friends/coffee/chores type I am slumming around in not very nice things and wanted to upgrade those to something more of a treat. I spend most of my weekend doing that sort of stuff.

Have a look at The White Company for upgraded comfortable clothes

I've bought loads of stuff from BAM recently. Lovely jumpers and stretchy but stylish trousers. They are really good quality.

Ah okay, that makes sense. I’d spend time getting a good pair of jeans and a good skirt as foundations. Doesn’t have to be £££ - Uniqlo jeans are amazing. Also ChatGPT and the like are great - put in images of what you’d like to wear and it can suggest outfits - including based on what you already have, if you tell it that too.

For me there is nothing more comfy than a good pair of jeans. So I would also start there. I am happiest in jeans, a shirt and a jacket or grandad cardigan. Think I am slowly morphing into my own grandpa tbh...
