Saltworks, oud attar or others?

My partner loves different fragrances so I was tempted by the saltworks discovery set
Trustpilot reviews are mostly good but some complain that the smell is like scented candles and doesnt last long
Some recommended oud attar as an alternative. Has anyone tried either set and would recommend?
Or any other options but it is the selection I am after.

I found all of the Saltworks scents really horrible - more than one of them reminded me of being in my dad’s car on a hot day in the eighties, with him smoking. Nostalgic, but not a good smell.

I don’t recommend the Saltworks Discovery Set, either. The scents just aren’t very nice and they’re all quite samey.

I had the Commodity discovery kit for a recent birthday and was really impressed. You get 3 versions each of 6 different scents, all very different from each other. You also get a voucher for the cost of the set to redeem against a full size bottle afterwards.

I got the Saltworks discovery set. A couple I loved - Surfari and Ko Meme but wasn't struck on the others. They are ok but definitely need a second application in the day to make it last. I've worn the same perfume since I was 21 and I'm 49 now so was looking for a change and this did give me the flexibility to try things out without breaking the bank and I would buy a full size Surfari (or prod DP to get it for me for xmas!)

I got the Saltworks set and like the poster above, Surfari and Ko Mene were my favourite, as well as Brown Sugar. I got larger versions of all three for Christmas last year and will be asking for replacements this year as they’re all gone. I’ve not tried the men’s but if it’s not unreasonable (mine was a gift so not sure how much the sets are) I think it can be a nice option.
