Jacket for office to fit dress or trousers ?

I might need more than one piece but have noticed a gradual smartening at work and some days my cardigan wide leg trouser combination is ok and others I need to smarten to a bit with shoes not trainers and thinking a jacket not cardigan. I need it to be comfy as I’m a bit weird and feel restricted in anything too tight or fitted. I have a nice pale pink linen blazer that’s fine for summer working with lighter coloured trousers but for winter I need something else. I have some wide legs in chocolate, aubergine and navy and would ideally buy one nice new jacket or some on Vinted if buying a couple. I’m a 14. Very long bodied and short leg and feeling a bit swamped in my long blazer I have currently and think it’s a bit outdated now - it was almost one of the oversized but not quite. I’m little so need petite fitting really. Is there a halfway house between jacket and cardigan that won’t make me look outdated ? Loving my new m and s knitted tank tops and short sleeved jumpers but the jacket piece is the last piece I think for my AW wardrobe. All thoughts welcome please. I’ve a couple of browns/ greens dresses I can winter up with the right jacket too with knee high boots. Delighted they’ve come back. As a 45 year old I wore them last time and wish I’d kept all my lovely knee length kilts and toned wool jumpers. Had a gorgeous brown one with a green thread and green wool jumpers I cast aside !
