Toast Sweater

I purchased the Toast Harvest Yoke Donegal sweater. I was very excited about it. I had high expectations because it looked beautiful in the photos and was very expensive. It is too scratchy to wear. I got an itchy rash around my neck. I asked to return it and acknowledged that I had unfortunately already taken off the tag and worn it for a few hours (because I was so excited about it). The company refused my request. I asked for an exception. They refused me very quickly a second time.

Donegal wool is known for being coarse. I think it's reasonable for them to refuse a refund considering you have already worn it, and it's not faulty. Do you have something with a high neck you could wear underneath it?

I think they're being reasonable too. As said, either wear a T-shirt with a high-ish round neck below, or line the inside of the neckline with smooth ribbon or bias binding or similar?

You’ll get a good chunk of it back selling it on eBay. Toast holds its value pretty well.
