Zara perfumes

I feel like I’m the last person to discover how good they are! My eldest has just bought a bottle of sunset over the sand desert and I tried it - it was exquisite and still smelling amazing on me hours later. I’ve now bought myself a bottle and also like the sound of red temptation and Sandalwood. Is that good too or was the desert sands one a one off?

my usual perfumes are either byredos mumbai noise or samsara so it’s good to find some cheaper ones to wear too.

I really like them too. My favourites are

Ebony Wood
Rose Petal Drops
Salty Ocean Bouquet
Waterlily Tea Dress

Waterlily Tea Dress is supposed to be Byredo-esque - I've never had any Byredo fragrances so can't judge but it might be one for you to try.

Popfan · 20/10/2026 21:48

They are great and like you have just discovered them! Such good value and really last when sprayed on. I love hypnotic vanilla and tropic tides so far

Vitrolinsanity · 20/10/2026 23:01

When I got to Bluewater on Saturday the overwhelming smell from the car park doors was my son’s Zara aftershave.

MyFavouriteGame · 21/10/2026 01:56

I wear the Elegantly Tokyo one all the time.

UncomfortableSilence · 21/10/2026 05:27

DD wears Fashionably London, I picked this up in the Elixir version on Monday and wore it to work yesterday and so many people commented on it. It’s very strong and long lasting.

Going to try some of the others now too.

I’ve had Red Zara Temptation which got lots of compliments it’s a dupe for Baccarat Rouge which costs hundreds!

MyFavouriteGame · 21/10/2026 12:46

I always get compliments when I wear the Tokyo perfume.

fancytoes · 21/10/2026 12:48

The Jo Malone ones are lovely! Fashionably London is my fave.

Cringey name, though.

twilightcafe · 21/10/2026 12:59

Fashionably London is the one for me.
Smells similar to Diptyue Eau Papier, but with more rose

Justaquestionplease · 21/10/2026 13:02

I was in there recently and thought they all smelt awful to be honest

QueenKong101 · 21/10/2026 13:22

There's some real gems. Creatively Shanghai is my absolute favourite of the Jo Malone x Zara collabs. Sadly now discontinued, so now I spend my days scouring ebay for remaining bottles!

cubistqueen · 21/10/2026 19:19

I love baccarat rouge so a dupe would be so good…. @FillerTrackOnTheAlbumOfLife my favourite ever is Mumbai noise from byredo, but others I’ve tried have either been non existent on me (bal d’afrique) or last 2 mins, so in my opinion they can be mixed and I’d not spend anymore money on the other ones. Could just be me though.

It’s good to hear that there are a good selection of Zara ones to try. Definitely going for red temptation with sandalwood (I am obsessed with sandalwood). And interested to hear about the Jo malone collaboration as I find that they too only last 5 mins now that they’ve been taken over.

Red Temptation with Sandalwood
Fashionably London Elixir
Ebony Wood
Immortal Vanilla

All great

ShakespearesMuse · 21/10/2026 19:26

I use Zara GOLD as my everyday perfume and I get lots of compliments on it. I have been wearing for about 5 years for daytime and only recently discovered it’s supposed to be a dupe for J’adore by Dior, which I have had in the past. I also have Cashmere Intense and Fashionably London for evenings, going out to a party etc. I really recommend them.

NewLifter · 21/10/2026 19:28

Everyone in my work is obsessed with Red, there's bottles left all round the office for communal use 😂

carbuncleonapigsposterior · 21/10/2026 19:30

Yes an absolute revelation, I was staying in a really nice hotel over the summer and caught a waft of one of the waitresses perfume, I loved it so much had to ask her what it was, "Fashionably London" I was told. I ordered it on line when I got home, cost far less than I usually spend and Zara wouldn't have been somewhere I'd associate with perfumes. I love it, wear it a lot. I do agree with the comment up thread, awful name though.

HoldMyWine · 21/10/2026 19:31

I’ve got Fashionably London elixir, I have never had so many compliments.
I love it and am constantly sniffing my wrists when I wear it.

I love fragrance, particularly Dior, but own many different brands, and have never shopped in Zara but made a trip especially (around 45 mins away) after hearing all the hype about the perfumes. I smelled all of them and was underwhelmed! Not one of them really did anything for me. I think the current M&S ones are better.

cubistqueen · Yesterday 18:27

see I just don’t get the M&S ones even though at those prices I wanted to.
red it is then. 😆

Almahart · Yesterday 19:39

I absolutely love Elegantly Tokyo.

HoldMyWine · Yesterday 20:08

I have a few M&S ones but the fragrance doesn’t last

Crumpledsmile · Yesterday 20:11

I have the Fashionably London one and so many people have commented on how nice it is. Even an Uber driver asked me what it was so he could buy it for his wife!

This is my favourite too. Receive comments about it every time I wear it.

Banjas · Yesterday 20:36

I have the Waterlily Tea Dress.

It’s nice.
The Zara perfume testers and the perfumes themselves are always in disarray in the Zara local to me.
They were where people queued for the tills / exchange and refunds too so you got filthy looks trying a tester as people thought you were a queue jumper.
Not conducive to perfume buying.
They’ve refurbed the shop perhaps it has improved, I haven’t been in.
