I posted on here yesterday when I was dithering about buying a Boden dress and was pretty thoroughly told not to! Some of the very helpful advice made me realise that the big changes on my life recently (lost 5 stone, retired from a job with a very formal dress code) mran that I really need to rethink what smart means to me. Or even think bout having more fun with my going out wardrobe. I would like to start by getting maybe two outfits - a dress, a skirt a top open to suggestions - that I can wear out to nice restaurants, the theatre, low key Christmas parties kind of thing. Bearing in industry I know you don't HAVE to dress up for these occasions any more but I would like to. I am 5 ft 5; size 12, grey hair, blue eyes and sort of hourglass with a bit if a tummy. And top heavy. I like jewel colours, clear blues and greens and hate brown and the sludgy greens that are around at the moment. Anyone up for the challenge if finding a couple of nice outfits? I've kinda lost faith in my own judgment after yesterday. Someone in that thread suggested going in person shopping with a friend or doing the JL personal shopper thing but for various reasons I won't be able to do that for a few months. Thanks so much if you got to the end of this epic!
