discontinued M&S shirt

M&S have gone and discontinued the shirt I wear every single day! It is a cotton long sleeve slash neck t-shirt called The Slim. I have many of them but I like to top up my supply now and then so I always have a brand new one if I need to look a bit smarter (I mostly work from home). I was in M&S yesterday and as usual went to grab a few (they cost 13 euro, I am in Ireland). They have been replaced by something calling itself The Slim but which is not the same thing. It is thicker for a start, and it comes in S,M,L rather than actual sizes. I wear a 12 in the original one, and I tried on a M in the new one and it just wasn't right.

I am beside myself! Any tips about how to get hold of M&S discontinued stock? Why they would discontinue such a great basic item I cannot imagine. It has glowing reviews, it seems mad!

They do this all the time. I’ve complained (not that it made any difference).

I’ve managed to pick up some on eBay. And bought all of them (5).

I liked the high neck support vest - it came in individual sizes and had removable padding. Great for in the garden or an at home day.

They sometimes end up in the outlet M&S stores, I have managed to find discontinued items there before, though maybe these aren't in Ireland

M and S is driving me mad with the small, medium, large nonsense. I was hoping to buy a couple of the merino wool cardigans that they had for the last few years: this year, not only are all their cardigans sort of square and a bit rough, bthey’re also in the dread small medium large sizes. I used to be a faithful M and S shopper: I buy very little there now.

They have done this with the thermals too small med large i normally wear a size 12, I expect its to save money, it cost more to do individual sizes. I have been buying them for years but now small is too small medium doesn't fit so well, off to find a new brand.
