Reviewing and culling your wardrobe….whats your method?

I’m in the process of doing my twice-yearly wardrobe cull (when I switch my spring/summer stuff over to autumn/winter). The last couple of years I’ve taken this opportunity to do a wardrobe cull and put things on Vinted that I don’t think I’ll use in the coming season. This year I’m being more ruthless. If something no longer feels ‘right’ it’s going….

What are your ‘keep or chuck’ criteria?

Have I worn it in the last year? Or two.

I haven't had to do this for a long while, but it used to be about twice a year. Everything that had been stored out of would be picked through and judged, and the stuff carted off to charity shops straight away. Then everything that was going to be stored would undergo the same scrutiny. I always used those rules that Marie Kondo made famous like "Do I love it, does it fit, is it in good condition, etc., etc.,".

I don't have to do this anymore, but I struggle with the idea of letting go of something I'd I haven't worn it in the last year or two. I have a small handful of things that fall into this category but I still love them. A couple of jumpers that are for the coldest weather, which we haven't had for a while, afew tops and dresses that I love but don't wear but could. I don't know when, if ever, I will get rid of them!
