Help - any tips for making my boots more comfortable

I bought a pair of boots, that are that slightly tall Chelsea boot style. I wore them today and they would be comfortable except that my heel moves in them quite a bit. Anything I can try?

if they are slightly too big a thicker insole might help, or thicker socks if it relatively minor.
ultimately life’s too short for ill fitting footwear, can you return or sell them?
having a good supply of blister bandages on hand should you keep them around till you throw them out next year.

I can’t return them as I have worn them outside. But I might try some insoles. Thanks.

You could try wearing a close fitting thin pair of socks underneath a thicker pair.

Thanks - will try that too !

@Newmeagain

Tongue pads may help to push your foot back a little for less slippage.

I always buy boots a bit too big and double sock with a thick trainer sock under my normal socks. I find it much more comfortable that way.

I love a sheepskin insole.
