What shoes with this dress

I've recently bought this dress for a Christmas party. It's lovely on but I'm not sure what shoes to wear with it.

My days of very high heels are a long way behind me 😄 if I do do heels then a block or kitten heels is probably best. I'll wear it with black tights too.

I would probably go with ballet flats in a metallic silver or gold. Alternatively, a mary jane flat or small heel.

I know they aren't the most fashionable brand, but Hotter sell pumps and small heels which are really comfortable and look lovely.

I have some of the flats which I was given. I would never have thought of going into Hotter for party shoes, but they're now my favourite with a LBD

If you have a bit more of a budget to spend, I've seen these recommended on here as very comfy party shoes. They do heels as well as flats, but these are my favourite 😍

I think it depends how tall you are and how good your legs are to be honest. If you have slender long legs then flats or low blocks would look amazing but if you are short or your legs aren't so slender you may need the help a higher heel will give.

I'm 5ft 5 and quite long bodied so definitely not long, slender legs 😄 they've got a nice enough shape though. I agree I probably do need a bit of a heel

I do like both of those but I'll be wearing tights (it's a pretty short dress and I'm very pale, legs would be blue without in December 😄) so I think I want a closed toe
