Style these trousers please

I've bought these trousers, I'm possibly going to wear them with a short sleeve jumper (first wear is lunch in a nice hotel). But what shoes and is the jumper a good choice?
I'm 5"2, size 14-16

Yes. Jumper is a good choice. I’ve got these trousers and I wear flat suede pumps but I’ve also got brown suede sling backs, by M&S. I like these jumper from m&S with the trousers.

These are M&S. I don’t have the cream ones, but with a cream cardi, they would be great.

Not sure I’d wear black if brown is available? So many lovely brown suede shoes are available and it looks great with satin.

Shoes either need to be flat or at least 3 inches, nothing in between.

Very versatile, so lots of options really. Could go with a denim shirt and a silk neck tie.. short sleeve jumper would work well, so long as the jumper has a slightly more fitted look as the trousers are wide fit. I think pumps would be nice.

Do these trousers have a nice high waistline? I feel like all high waisted trousers get eaten by my fanny these days 😂

You’ve had some great suggestions. I am a BIG fan of the short sleeved jumper. NeXT have done nice cotton knit ones.

The trousers are LUSH!

They're a really nice fit, and I managed to size down in them.

Shirts don't suit me, I'm quite broad shouldered.

I quite like plain things though

I’ve got brown satin trousers, I wore them in summer with sandals and a cream waistcoat and I’m now going to wear them in winter with brown suede boots from Next. I’ve got an old cream v neck cardigan that looks good over a silk and lace cami with them, and a new jumper from Tescos. I also like the lace blouses around at the moment, think they could look good with the satin trousers.

I’d go with loafers, a wool texture top (short sleeve sweater with a white tshirt underneath, or a cardigan) and earrings. Maybe a knotted silk scarf. Definitely ‘expensive’ looking on top so a textured fabric to contrast.
