Bobbi Brown foundation pilling

Treated myself to a stick foundation, concealer and colour corrector at the makeup counter. The sales advisor demonstrated the products on me and they looked beautiful and natural.

Get home and the first time I used them, the pilling is horrendous. I’ve since tried many different combinations of moisturiser/sunscreen underneath all to no avail. Does this mean you have to invest in the Bobbi Brown skin products too?

Going back to using my old faithful Erborian foundations instead for now.

Seems very unfair and like an awful waste of money.

Any suggestions?

Did you use a primer? I can’t wear anything without a primer!

It depends on your moisturiser and foundation. If one is oil based and the other is water based, that causes piling.
in the shop, what did the assistant put on you before the foundation?

What’s piling?

OP said 'pilling' which is when the product sort of goes into little bobbles or clumps. Like a jumper which has pilled.

My Beauty Pie SPF has a primer in it

As far as I know, nothing. I need to at least use an SPF (which I don’t think BB make). It’s just very annoying to have to change my whole skincare regime to be able to wear a new foundation, grrr.

The cost is the only thing currently preventing me from binning the lot!
