Help needed! I never wear smart clothes. I live in scrubs or leggings usually.

i have such issues finding dresses. I’m less than 5ft tall, very slim on top with chunky calves and thighs. Tiny feet and slim ankles.

no idea what to wear. Would prefer a dress but it’s a December graduation and might be freezing!!

please help!

many thanks

assume you are a medic, are you graduating?.I was nursing a million years, then gardening, walking dogs. Suddenly, there's an investigation, wedding, christening, funeral,I had nothing!!! After panic buying an outfit never worn again, I swore next time I will hire something. Do a bit of AI see what suits you. Good luck.

Congratulations!

I was a bit over 40 when I got awarded my MA with the OU. I'm not a dress wearer but bought a cheap black and white floaty dress, probably from Next. I did wear it again. It was a fantastic ceremony. Without wishing to derail your thread, maybe other mature graduates can post their photos too...

You might find a skirt/trousers and a shirt/blouse is more practical as it is easier to hook hoods onto. Or a dress with buttons! Plain dark colour usually best. Congratulations!

Just get a dark dress or trousers and a top. The gown will cover most of it.

As someone who sits on the stage for hours, it's the shoes that get noticed. No need for skyscraper heels, wear something that lets you easily navigate the steps without fear of tripping or falling.

Congratulations and enjoy your day.
