Help style sequins

Please can you let me know how you would style a Never Fully Dressed, short sequin skirt?

I have it in silver. I wore it to concerts previously with tank tops. These are too casual. I have a party to go to and I want to wear it but I don't have any tops which would compliment it.

I am hourglass, have fairly in shape arms and back but would prefer covered arms as the skirt is quite short. I'm a size 10. I have heels and boots in most colours already.
Budget hopes of up to £50 but could increase for a decent find.

I've seen pictures with silver skirts, sheer black tops and black tights, not sure if it would look mad or would work with this one? 🤔

I do have a sequin top but it looks cheap against the skirt, clashes and doesn't work. The sequin top that NFD sell to match is not in my size.

Either with a crew neck jumper as shown in your link, or with an oversized bomber jacket and a slouchy vest. (You could wear a cropped tight vest but … 🤷‍♀️)

You really don’t want anything too sparkly or matchy matchy. Even for a party, aim for a nonchalant, casual look - that will show the skirt best.

I was going to also say a thin jumper. Maybe in black or navy.

I always think the thin Annie sparkle knits from Whistles work with sequin skirts. The sparkle is subtle and there are loads of colours- although annoyingly I can only seem to link the neutral.

I think a light merino knit, slouchy rather than fitted

Maybe a draped satin top? This is the first one I saw, but there are plenty with sleeves and also with a ruched side drape to synchronise with your skirt.
