Korean foundation

I’ve seen lots of ads recently for that Korean foundation. It comes in a white stick that you daub on and then use a brush to apply. It’s supposed to match completely to your skin tone.

is it really that good? I’ve not got a lot of money to waste but feel if it’s good it might be worth an investment!

thanks for any experiences.

@hopspot

What is the foundation called, OP?

hopspot · 11/10/2026 15:51

Think it’s called Hestia.

Or Clarea? I’ve seen both that look similar

I’ve seen a few adverts for these kinds of foundation. I also wonder if they work or if it’s a load of bollocks. I have hyper pigmentation so it would be helpful if it did but I ended up not getting any.

I used eborian, which is white cream that changes to match skin tone. It's not the same coverage as a full foundation but nice for light coverage to even put, it has a bit of glow too, so not super matte.

I love the Delilah makeup I got some for a gift and now I’m addicted the powder looked like it would be orange but it’s not at all.

I fell for the hype around the luxe one but can honestly say its lovely on me.

No. It contains tiny capsules that contain pigment. You rub it on to your skin, the capsules break, giving the impression it's changed colour to match your skin. In fact, it's the same colour on everyone. It's just a case of if it happens to match your skin.

That's so interesting!

A while ago I tried a similar one. It was a boots brand one, iirc, and although it wasn’t actually white it said it would suit anyone and blend in as the right colour. It didn’t and it was shite. If a big brand like Boots can’t get this right I’d be very wary of other - unknown - brands claiming this.

I was also nearly taken in by one of those AI videos where her husband left her for a younger model and then she saw him again looking 10x better than his new GF- so I asked Gemini if it was really as good as they said and that's what it told me.

10/10 for marketing but not much underneath!
