bear in mind that you can't put your bra on immediately afterwards, so wear clothes you don't care about and in which you can get home decently whilst bra-less.

The only spray tan I've had was a bit embarrasing when the beautician asked me to put my arms over my head so that I didn't have any white marks under my boobs, meaning bascially that they are that "long" that I would have looked like I had tram lines otherwise - was a bit

Tutter · 01/07/2008 11:25

they will give me exfolitor stuff and send me in the shower when i'm there, apparently

and if its being done tonight, best not to shower until tomorrow morning. bed sheets will be covered, but it washes out!

macdoodle · 01/07/2008 13:06

Don't do it....I had one for my sisters wedding - face and arms looked nice - boobs less nice luckily they were not on show - ankles and heels looked ghastly and no amount of scrubbing helped thye looked ridiculous in my strappy gold sandals Knees were pretty bad too luckily dress covered them - avoid avoid avoid!

Tinkerisdead · 01/07/2008 13:13

I had spay tan and loved it, my legs especially looked brilliant. the only prob i had was that i came home and to me my face looked orange. i freaked out and scrubbed and scubbed it with a flannel. then within 1.5 days tan had settled beautifully and my face was almost white!!

do not initially freak out at how dark your face looks, it wears off quicker than your body with washing etc, so go with it!!!!

Try not to get wet for about 5 hours after otherwise you'll streak, try and avoid getting sweaty

staryeyed · 01/07/2008 13:48

I had one done last month. Looked great until the next day where it rubbed off wherever my clothes were -not a good look. I have dry skin though so that might be why- I exfoliated and moisturised like mad on the week leading up to it I was very disappointed.

jenniebee · 01/07/2008 13:48

braless afterwards and if you going in car, if poss, get someone to drive you back as you'll need to hold the seatbelt away from your skin ( i didnt do this the first time i went and was left with a seat belt mark )
.
And if it all goes tits up Lemon juice gets rid of the majority of marks.

How long do they last?

mrsmalumbas · 01/07/2008 17:03

Ha ha if I put my arms above my head I would still have white lines under my boobs - actually not so much lines as spaces.
