Does anything actually, genuinely help hair to grow/stop falling out?

In 2016, I had a baby and lost so much of my hair. It was hormonal, it never grew back.

last year for around 9 months, I lost a load more, it hasn’t grown back. Bloods showed no reason why, drs response was to lose weight and get blood sugar down (diabetic) and to buy a wig if it bothers me.

In the summer, it’s started shedding again. I had bloods that have showed nothing to cause it. My hairdresser said it looks hormonal, my dr agreed to let me have HRT but said it probably wouldn’t stop the shedding or boost hair growth.

since last year I have taken collagen capsules, gummies for hair & skin, and shampoo & conditioner from U.K. lash that my hairdresser recommended. I’ve lost weight (2 stone in 10 months) and got my blood sugar down to normal levels (type 2 diabetes).

My hair was so thick and now it’s so thin and flimsy. I know it’s just cosmetic and there are far worse things to worry about, I really do, but I’m distraught. Is there anything at all that can help to trigger hair regrowth?
