Please help me, shopping mavens...
DH wears black Levis 501s, no other colour or brand or style. Has done for several decades. He is a man of very fixed habits.
But the most recent ones we've bought are TERRIBLE quality. Crappy fabric, and they fade to grey in a matter of weeks. They are honestly just completely shit, an embarrassment. I'd think they were knock-offs, except that we got them from the official Levi's store.
Looking at his old ones (we have plenty of old pairs to compare them with), it seems that the old pairs were something called Levi's Premium. They are much, much better quality, but apparently Levi's have stopped making them. Levi's UK site does have some more expensive 501 jeans, but none that are black. Ebay has a few pairs of Premium ones, but none in DH's size (W38 L34).
So: does anyone know where we could get really good quality men's black jeans, as similar to 501s as possible? Heavyweight denim that doesn't fade too much. Prepared to pay up to £200 a pair, maybe more. Hoping someone may be able to point us in the right direction... many thanks.
