Taking DD8 in October and I’m not sure whether to go to the City store or Stockport. I didnt realise that they are both the same distance from where we live so just wondered if anyone could give any tips!

Neither. Eight year olds don’t need cheap, tacky makeup.

Anyone else? Thank you

Are you really just asking what town centre to go to? Stockport’s a shithole so that might help.

I popped in the city one and it was full of kids and it was kinda sad to see. I left right away just took my family in to have a look and it was so unnerving seeing all the kids shopping the make up, which is cheaper on TikTok btw.

Also check out Lacy M - the now 12 year old who has been groomed and exploited by Williams for years - with the connivance of her own mother and aunt.

I've never been go any of those p louise places. They sound awful. But if your DD wants to go then she should imho. Stockport is beyond dire so go to Manchester.

It’s really not that deep. She won’t be doing tik toks or coming out with a face full of make up. She likes the lip glosses and the whole aesthetic of the brand. Is that shallow? Yes but you only have to look at the scores of threads on here about beauty advent calendars to know that adults buy into this type of marketing too. She also plays cricket and football and is a very bright kid so don’t worry she’s not going to walk out of there a dumb bimbo.
