Light trousers for se Asia

I’m fortunate to be visiting several countries, they will be hot, humid and mosquitoes are an issue plus visiting temples mean rules when it comes to clothes. Can anyone recommend light full length (31 leg) trousers ideal for touring and look decent for semi formal dining with an appropriate top? I figure full length means less skin for the mossies to attack me, I’m allergic to the bites unfortunately, and will be spraying all skin. I’ve found a few googling but they all are on sites my mum likes hence wanting more ideas!

I basically lived in loose 100% cotton trousers when I lived in Asia. The usual suspects (M&S, new look) have these as staples (plain black, navy) as well as some different designs if that’s more your thing. As you say these can be dressed up with shoes, top, jewellry as well as being a solid and flexible option. I always carry an oversized light scarf too which can be a good wrap, blanket, curtain…
Happy travels!

Unliqo - I have a couple of pairs of these https://www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/products/E473791-000/00?colorDisplayCode=09&sizeDisplayCode=003

Decathlon has all sorts of trousers at good prices. We've bought lots there for Borneo and Costa Rica.

Id get balloon trousers. They are loose and cool with ankle cuffs to keep the mossies out and stop creatures going up your trouser legs.

Uniqlo or Next

I'd wait until I got there, I'm sure you'll find great light loose trousers that locals find great, probably for half nothing in price too!

Bring one pair and if you don't have anything suitable already, try Amazon, they have Summery light trousers all year round I find.

Have a great trip.

Uniqlo lounging trousers are great - I have couple of pairs of their cotton trousers for travelling in SE Asia.

They have some that are a smarter style that might suit you better for the evening and others that are more relaxed / back packer vibes for day time activities.

Thanks everyone, I forgot about unliqo.

I used to pack a long sarong in my backpack which I'd put on if visiting a temple. Craghopper trousers might be an option so you have shorts in the day time and can zip on the trousers for a temple or the evening. https://www.craghoppers.com/womens-nosilife-pro-convertible-trouser-iii-wild-olive/
Otherwise linen trousers are cool and light in the day. Matalan, M&S, tu etc have them on sale, but something cuffed would be better for mosquitoes.
