Warmish, waterproof coat needed for 13 year old boy.

Looking for a new coat for my 13 year old boy that cycles to school. He currently has a thin waterproof north face jacket and a padded montirex coat that is not waterproof. Neither is ideal.
Need something that is slightly warm but not super thick and waterproof and appears cool to a 13 year old. Does such a thing exist?

What about a down jacket to go underneath? Like a Uniqlo one?

DH reckons his Proviz coat is sweltering when cycling

He wouldn’t be able to deal with two items!

Trespass do a 3 in one?? So fleece inner and waterproof outer. Can be worn separately or combined?? Would that be any good for him?

3 in 1 jacket, the fleece or padded jacket fastens and zips into the waterproof outer jacket but both can be worn independently. Proper hiking gear is more waterproof

Will see if he fancies the proviz. There is a fleece lined one that looks good.

We just get all the variations of North Face for my teen, expensive but keep him warm and dry
