I think a burgundy or plum colour would go with the dress, but there may be a more suitable colour. I don’t think black shoes would be right.

its for a wedding in October so I would prefer shoes to sandals. Low to medium heel - around an inch or inch and a half. Not flat. Would prefer block heel to kitten heel, not stiletto and not wedge.

I can’t wear court shoes as they fall off my feet so I need an ankle strap/Mary Jane shoe or t-bar.

Aa the shoes are to go with this dress, which I might only wear once or twice more, I don’t want to spend too much on shoes I’m not going to wear much.

Thank you @24Dogcuddler, I like the Next ones.. I noticed one of the pairs you suggested was beige - do you think I should go for a beige/nude instead of trying to match one of the colours in the dress?

I think beige would go and you might get more use out of them later.
