Where are we buying autumn clothes?

I’m looking for a few bits - some skirts, tops, maybe a nice chunky jumper or two. Maybe a pair of shoes too, ideally looking to spend under £400 for the lot.

I wanted to pick up some high end clothing as I'm sick of cheap clothes that won't last. I want some classic items that will last year after year. Same with shoes.
I don't get on with Vinted, everything I've bought from there looks like it's come from a jumble sale or smells.
I've managed to get several brand new and unworn clothing and shoes from baukjen, van dal and so on for next to nothing. Everything I bought cost at least £150 new.

I’ve got some tops from Nobody’s child, jumpers from with nothing underneath and white company.

Also got the Crawford jeans from with nothing underneath and really like the shape, it’s the shape I’ve tried (and failed!) to get with levis!

Haven’t spotted any skirts I like the look of, nor shoes really. Everything still seems to be in the ballet style and my feet get too cold for that!

I bought some new trousers from M and S the chocolate barrels the first new thing I have bought in years. I sell vintage on eBay so usually source my clothes from my own suppliers. I am very much the country lady, Claudia from Traitors style but off to uni next week at 58 so wanted to blend in a bit

Free People jumpers. Cute little beret from Vivienne Westwood. Going to take a look at Urban Outfitters for jeans Don’t really need anything else. Not that that will stop me if I see something nice, lol.

Lilysilk for cashmere sweaters and cardigans. Very good price and quality and 20% off full price right now. Colours are classic: cream, black, beige, some burgundy or navy. Styles are classic with a bit of an edge - longer or wider sleeves wide shallow V necks. Bit more arty that country classics. I love them.

M&S, Sézane (some lovely chunky knitwear but reasonably expensive) and Zara.

Also M and S for autumn colours which don't suit me anyway no I'm not bothered about those.I just wear what I look good in.

I could spend a fortune in Crew Clothing. Unfortunately I only had enough money for 3 tops and 2 nightdreses from Primark

I’ve ordered two cosy jumpers! I have this one in a striped pattern anyway, and I know i like it. I wanted to have some colour in my autumn/winter wardrobe

I’ve bought from Whistles (first time in years but the quality seems better than it has been), Essentiel Antwerp and Cos. I’ve also bought quite a bit from Vinted and have been lucky with it all- Anine Bing, Dries Van Noten, Vivienne Westwood, By Malene Birger and Tallulah & Hope.

I want a couple of pairs of nice trousers but have no idea where to look. I’ve seen a pair of faux leather ones on the M&S website but that feels a little indulgent for work!

I need to go through my wardrobe this weekend and get all of my true summer clothes packed away in favour of my autumn/winter bits

I got a beautiful cardigan of sezane and a faux burgundy leather jacket from Mango. Also some gortex trainers from Hoka for rainy days at work. That’s all I’m getting this year. Nothing else I need and trying to avoid looking as keep finding things I like.

I saw some nice faux leather trousers in Tesco F&F the other day

Uniqlo. I’m heartily sick of brown though.

Which brands on Vinted though? Otherwise it’s like saying you bought something ‘in a shop’.

I think I’m going to have to spend a hefty proportion of my autumn/winter budget on boots or shoes with super-grippy soles. As a woman of advancing age and quite possibly thinning bones, I’m quite anxious about the prospect of icy pavements. Luckily there’s a thread about it already.

Ive seen loads of things I liked in Oliver Bonas but I have too much stuff as it is.

I realise I may give in and have big splurge next time I'm in Manchester ( my nearest store)
