Has anyone had successful treatment for facial thread veins around the nose?

Has anyone had successful treatment for thread veins on their face? Mine are around my nose, they're not that bad but concealer never looks natural and wears off.

Yes some sort of laser many years ago. They haven’t come back

Unlike the poster above, I had laser treatment and they did come back. Not necessarily the same ones, but more appeared.

I had treatment on my cheeks and nose, four sessions. I walked out looking like I'd been in a boxing match!

I did vein wave in 2011. It did work, but I have had some return due to the weight of my glasses.

Stings like buggery for all of 15 min while they’re being zapped but they don’t come back in the same place, if at all.

The relief of not having to put concealer on daily is huge.

What type of treatment did you have? I've seen Thermavein mentioned but it had mixed reviews.

I bruise easily. I was black/brown for about 4 days, then yellow for a couple.

It hurt too!! I used to be very conscious of my thread veins, but I really dont notice them anymore. I decided they are a part of my face now.

I had advanced electrolysis done by an excellent beautician. Very minimal down time and haven't come back after 3 years.

I second advanced electrolysis- works very well and long lasting. Can leave you quite red if you have pale, sensitive skin like mine.

I had laser treatment last year for thread veins on my cheeks. It was a little uncomfortable but not painful. I had three sessions and after each one the veins that had been zapped went black (basically burnt blood!) but it wasn't hugely noticeable under make up and faded after a few days. Once the veins have been lasered they won't come back, but if you're prone to it then others will appear. I'll probably get one top up treatment done every year or so to zap the new ones.

Yes - IPL. I only need one treatment. Was very inexpensive.

I had the same experience. I had treatment across my cheeks and around my nose. My face completely puffed up and I was bruised. I’ve still got them around my nose. TBH, my eyesight isn’t as good as it once was so I don’t notice them so much anymore!

Look for an electrolysis expert. Much more effective and much cheaper than laser/ipl.

I heard that sorting out thread veins is best done in winter months, when the worst of the sun is over - is this true, or - as I later heard - does it apply more to people with black skin?

And what prices are we talking here, is it hundreds of pounds? Does it get priced more if you have, say, six thread veins rather than two?

I get IPL for my rosacea thread veins- it’s £80 for a small area like your nose, £180 for a large area like cheeks and nose. It’s best done in the winter when you are paler, and as it’s cooler so the veins aren’t as dilated.

Yes, in the winter. I offer Sclerotherapy (injections for thread veins on legs) & I would advocate winter treatment.

I had IPL for thread veins around 3-4 years ago. It was only one or two sessions, and yes, it hurt for a little while, but didn't take long to wear off. Lasering for rosacea, on the other hand, left me with chipmunk cheeks 😂
