Recommendations for comfortable waterproof trainers with good grip in wet weather

I'm looking for some comfortable, waterproof trainers that work well in wet conditions and are slip resistant. Happy to spend if necessary, but also love a bargain. Anyone recommendations?

Hoka do some “trail” trainers that are waterproof with a vibram sole. They aren’t cheap, but they fit all your requirements. I was looking for exactly the same things and they have served me very well!

I’m on at least my fourth pair of waterproof walking shoes from Decathlon so those might be worth a look. I actually think they’re too lightweight for proper hiking but they’re great around town.

Solomon , berghaus, merrel etc. you need the vibram sole and gortex.

These sound good for going hiking in wet weather conditions. Would you say they're also good for everyday wear? out and about for commuting?

I have a pair of Merrell trail running shoes, super grippy and very comfortable. Mine aren’t waterproof but they do a goretex version.

Look on Sportsshoes.com for deals on last year’s designs, I always buy runners on there rather than the latest model.

Thanks, those look good for every day walking on wet pavements. Will have to go instore and see how the fit is. I don't ever remember being so anxious about slipping in wet weather. must be a getting older thing

On do quite a few waterproof trainers.

I have these in an old colour way, they are really comfy and good grip. The description says they are for city strolls and light hikes.
