What else would you wear with this?

Other than jeans! I’ve worn it a couple of times with slim straight leg jeans but I’m struggling to work out what else it would look nice with - I’m not very imaginative 😩
pic will take a minute to load I’m sure, it’s a light soft pink gingham shirt with a Peter Pan collar and elasticated cuffs.

Wide leg trousers? Flare jeans or trousers? Black slim Tapered black trousers for work.

You could wear it with a brown suede skirt or a kilt.

Oh yes I like the suggestion of the brown suede skirt, I saw a lovely one in whistles recently. Also a kilt but I haven’t seen anything that jumped out at me that I liked enough to buy and get a lot of use from.
I definitely can see myself wearing them with black slim tapered trousers, I’ve got some that I already love.

thanks for the help, I’m very unimaginative with my clothes, I have a wide range but tend to just stick with outfits I repeat or dresses as they are so easy and don’t need matching with anything else!

I have something similar and don't think I've ever worn with jeans!
Most recently black high waist tapered trousers. Thinking will go nice with a plum maxi skirt I have.

Would you consider jeans as an option?!
I like the idea of a deep coloured long skirt, I think I only have black and khaki green, the black is a column skirt which annoys me and I call it the resistance band skirt as I can’t take proper long steps 😂 the green one is actually an adidas one which I love with an oversized white tshirt or a black fitted long sleeve top but wouldn’t work with this shirt. I think dd has a wider selection of long skirts - I might ask her if I can have a rummage…

Mine doesn't actually go with the jeans I have in terms of length, where it sits etc.
Annoying clothes must be banished! Get rid of the resistance band skirt and see what you can get on loan from DD

Isn’t it lovely @MorrisZapp - I’m really pleased with it, it’s from Nobody’s Child.
A bit marmite, it’s quite twee and flouncy - too much for some but I like it.

@thedevilinablackdress i feel the resident band skirt probably must be banished but I like a long black column skirt and it has stretch to it but if I wear it to work and want to go out at lunchtime I have to hitch it up to be able to walk anywhere at a decent pace 😂
dd had a nice deep purple satin skirt, it doesn’t really suit me but I’ll think on. I’ve ordered the whistles suede skirt I’d seen but I don’t think it’s dark enough, I’ll wait and see.

Try it on with everything in your wardrobe and see which combinations you like.

Faux leather skirt - oxblood/bordeaux or brown.

It’s crying out for cords.

I’d say it’s a very ‘land girl’ vibe so you should lean into that. Wide cord or velvet trousers or skirts (whichever length you prefer). Lots of crunchy, hand knitted looking wool knitwear - tank tops in particular. And a big tweed coat.

Definitely cords! I have deep plum ones that would look well with that top.
