Help needed to find fab shoes to go with dress

geordieminx · 29/06/2008 14:08

I have just bought this dress but have no idea about shoes.

I am short with ok (short) legs... loooking for killer heels to make me look tall and slim ok!

No probs with 4+ inch heels - just not quite sure of colour/style.

Oh is for evening wedding do of young/trendy wedding

TIA!!

These are very comfy and leg lengthening.

windygalestoday · 29/06/2008 14:13

i dont think killer heels go with a baby doll dress id be inclined to wear wedge shoes or platforms ....having said that i might be way off mark with my fashion lol

windygalestoday · 29/06/2008 14:14

i dont think cork shoes go with such a glam dress imo .....sorry st

StrangeTown · 29/06/2008 14:15

Hmm, I know what you mean, maybe it's because when you are wearing them you only see the patent bit and I have not spent enough time looking at myself sideways in mirror whilst wearing them!

windygalestoday · 29/06/2008 14:16

The thing is the dress was a present, not normally what I would wear, but now I'm totally stumped as I hae no idea what shoes work with it.

Hello? Hello? My fashionista's red telephone just starting buzzing.

Right, shoes for that foxy frock. I don't think spike heeled strappy stilletoes are right I'm afraid...a little too dare I say...Spearmint Rhino?
Sorry, but I think a more enclosed shoe or a wedgey thing would work better.
office pewter coloured

How long is the dress on you? Mid thigh, knee length?

I'll search on...

ELR · 29/06/2008 19:00

i think the dress is nice send it to me i will wear it!!
the silver shoes in faith were nice not the ones with ankle detail they will make your legs look stumpy, the ones in aldo are nice

maidamess · 29/06/2008 19:06

as the dress has gold beading in it

these could look cool

JoanCrawford · 29/06/2008 19:07

imo geordie, the first pair you linked to (Faith ones) were perfect. When I saw your dress - gorgeous btw, that's what flashed into my head.

go with the faith ones

geordieminx · 29/06/2008 19:07

Dress is just above the knee... see told you I was short

Love both the dune ones maidamess.

I also love the first ones I linked too... although I know what you mean about Spearamint Rhino.... although thats maybe not such a bad thing... these days I'm more hungry hippo
