Which make-up brands are suitable and popular for a young teenager?

Hi everyone

I am something of a dinosaur and also clueless with regards to make up and stuff so decided to play it safe and ask for your help please

I would like to buy my Granddaughter some lovely make up towards her Christmas presents. She is a young teenager and very much into her skincare etc and has recently started experimenting with make up.

I would love to know what brand(s) I should be looking at? My main concern is that it is age appropriate stuff and also something “trendy” for want of a better word.

And now you’ll be skint! @Lochnesslassie at these prices it could be the main gift, not supplementary! It’s not Boots 17 anymore. There’s a lot from that Vogue list in here, so you’ll be onto a winner there.

The two youngest teens I know like Byoma skincare. They have nice gift sets.

My young adult dds like Charlotte Tilbury.

My dd went through all the trends- Byoma, drunk elephant etc. now she’s better at chowing make up that she likes and suits her. I’d buy her a Sephora voucher or boots (can get a lot of the same brands but cheaper). Online shops like Look Fantastic also have great deals on sometimes.

Blimey yes some of the prices make my eyes twitch a bit but she's definitely worth it. In my day it was Rimmel or Boots!

As far as I can tell she only wears a bit of blusher, a fairly neutral eyeshadow and some lip gloss. I was thinking of getting her a nice eyeshadow palette and some lip colour. She has sickeningly long dark eyelashes so definitely no mascara is needed.
