Lightweight turtleneck jumper for men - where to find

Can anyone recommend where I can find a lightweight turtleneck jumper for my elderly dad? I’m not finding anything and wondering if I’m using the wrong search terms or if it’s too early in the season just now.

I live down under so I’m out of touch with UK shops but thought I’d find something immediately in M&S. I’m only seeing long sleeved polo shirts or half placket zip jumpers.

Ideally it would be in black or navy and either cotton or something like a fine merino. He wants something he can wear alone or layer under a v neck sweater when it gets colder.

I need to be able to order online so I can have it delivered to him.

any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Uniqlo. If the men's merino turtlenecks are anything like the women's, they're a very fine knit and perfect for layering.

These seem to be a regular item which they restock, so if the colours you want aren't stock just now, keep trying.

Landsend for cotton ones and possibly also wool.

I've had many great M&S cotton turtlenecks over the years, but it seems to vary with the season, so again maybe check back over time.

Although I don't know what the men's lines are like in M&S, I'm afraid.

Naming of styles is so inconsistent. M&S call them roll necks. They call flat, polo collars ‘polo-neck’ which isn’t correct!

Uniqlo do a roll neck thermal with cashmere in several colours thats soft & good for layering. My ds lived in his last year after they were originally bought for skiing.

I was going to mention Uniqlo and especially their cashmere blend thermals that manage to be soft, lightweight, warm and machine washable.
Too slow off the mark, again, so I will have to be satisfied with agreeing with previous posters who beat me to it.

I wouldn’t have thought to search ‘roll neck’ either as to me that’s something else entirely. But then I thought turtleneck was a high neck that doesn’t fold over like a polo neck so perhaps the naming has changed completely when I wasn’t paying attention.

That's a good call. I've got these in lots of colours and they are so comfortable to wear.
