Affordable 9 carat gold jewellery?

Sick to death of my cheap (and sometimes not even that cheap!) gold-plated jewellery losing its colour in about 2 seconds flat after I’ve bought it.

I reckon the solution is 9 carat gold as

1. it’s less pricy than 18 or higher carat
2. the fact it’s actually not 100% gold will make it more durable

Any ideas for shops with a good range of 9 carat gold huggie hoops/studs and interesting but simple 9 carat gold necklaces I can layer?

I don’t want astrological signs, letters or words. I do like gemstones but they’re not essential.

Most important to me is that it’s pretty, durable and suits my style - I’m not so fussed about e.g. whether something is cubic zirconia or diamond.

I’ve had a look online but nothing is jumping out to me. Please share your wisdom, MN.

Second hand is your best bet, but the price of gold per gram is sky high atm.

EBay are generally trustworthy if buying online or there are second hand jewellery shops, of course. You can usually get a better price for cash, you can part exchange any gold or silver you already own, even if it’s broken and I don’t think there is VAT on second hand jewellery.

Look at places like pawn brokers or jewellers with second hand items.
