Nails for new job - natural or BIAB?

I am starting a new job in London after 4 years of WFH.

Since April I have been wearing natural nails but it's a bit of a faff to reapply varnish every 3 days.

I would like a style like the one in the photo (modern minimal French). Planning to get a manicure anyways for filing and cuticles, should I ask for normal varnish or BIAB do you think? I don't want to wreck my natural nails after all this effort to make them healthier!

I think BIAB is only worth it if you plan to have it infilled every four weeks or so. It does trash your natural nails so I don’t think I would get BIAB if I were you.

I think if your own nails are decent just stick with them.BIAB ruined my own nails and it took over a year to get them to look good again.
Have regular manicures and your own nails will look good.

It's only worth getting something that needs to be infilled if you are going to keep it on for a fair while and have it maintained every 2-4 weeks (and this depends on when your nails needs it, not when you can afford it/fit it in or it will be damaging). Proper cuticle work will do most of the work to making them look good, so having this done (properly!) and shaping is all you need really. Bear in mind that french will chip quickly with normal polish so it's better in gel polish (just have it removed properly).

If you’re happy to do your own nails consider buying a Japanese natural manicure kit. My Japanese DIL bought me one for a birthday present a couple of years ago and it’s bloody amazing and the super shiny results last 3-4 weeks plus as it slowly wears off, there’s no infills and it leaves your nails in fab condition.
