What actually works for age spots: serums, peels, lasers or cryotherapy?

Anyone tried anything at all that works on age spots (also called liver spots)? I've developed a few - one particularly large one, and its really bothering me! I've tried some very expensive serums (Cellexia,etc) with no noticeable difference. I use SPF 50 religiously. Has anyone tried anything that works - serums, cryotherapy, pigment-targeting lasers or chemical peels?

Had a big one on my forehead lasered off about 6 years ago but some of it came back as I wasn't very good with 50spf. It basically turned it into a scab that fell off leaving fresh skin underneath with no freckles. Feels like a sharp elastic band and smells like burning hair but worth it. I have freckly skin so prone to them and have learned the hard way SPF is the only way to stop them all joining up into patches on my face. Laser was the only thing that worked for the big one but I do think Vit C at 20% or more in lotions can keep them at bay a bit if they are freckle sized.

I actually don't know - mine was 6 yrs ago so they may have something less smelly on offer nowadays!

@donotknowhowtofeel yes, they all went. Took a couple of weeks I think for the age spots to go - I had hundreds of skin tags so I had a lot going on!

I’ve got a Eucerin product that appeared to work on some random pigmentation on my forehead. You put it on with a wand so you can treat small areas accurately. Perimenopause has stolen my memory so can’t remember the full name.

Perimenopause has given me word salad (mean one thing, say another!), so I sympathise!

I have two large spots, one on each cheek, and a dermatologist that I saw for a mole check recommended dermatica. I'm on a tretinoin + hydroquinone regimen and although still early days I'm seeing some results.

Cryotherapy will work best.

It is the anti pigment spot corrector. I had to go and look!

I have a series of two or three PCA peels at the dermatologist at the end of each summer. It is a light peel, so no sore face or major redness and shedding, so no real down-time, but it does get rid of the brown marks. PCA is a brand-name, but the at the dermatologist version is stronger than the ones for home use.
I am also meticulous with SPF.
