Average cost and duration of Invisalign?

I appreciate it’s going to be different for everyone, but I have no idea of the approx cost of the treatment, and how long it might take.

I’m thinking of sorting out my teeth, but have no idea if it is achievable financially for me.

would anyone care to share how much your treatment cost and how long it took?

Out of date info, but hopefully helpful:

We got 3 wildly different quotes, so my main advice is to 1) ask for local recommendations and 2) get as many quotes as you can!

We live in Surrey and in Feb 2020 were quoted up to £4500. However, the highly recommended dentist we went with for our daughter cost us £2500, which we paid in monthly instalments. I think the treatment lasted about 12months, but she was exceptionally stringent about following the rules and her teeth weren’t that tricky to align. They warned us if her teeth needed a further cycle of new trays it would be an additional cost, thankfully we didn’t, but I’m afraid can’t remember how much more.

Mine took about 15 months and cost £4,500 (north east England). My dentist offered a range of payment options.

I'm coming to the end of mine, about a year, £3,500 bought when they had an offer on at my local dentist. They had finance options, and I get at least one set of refinements in the price, plus retainers and whitening.

I paid £5000 in 2020. It took 10 months, but that was because of Covid. Should have been around 8 months.
The 5K included the scans, all retainers, check ups, whitening and four composite veneers, fixed wire retainers behind both top and bottom upper teeth, plus three sets of retainers to wear nightly afterwards. I think the Invisalign alone was about 3.5K. I think it depends on how many sets/trays you need.

I haven't gone as couldn't justify the cost at the time .. but I was quoted 4k (NW)

Two years ago I paid £2800. This was in Essex and it took about a year.

I was warning about this the other day on another thread but am in Ireland and there was a dentist on the radio saying make sure Invisalign is for you as opposed to having to have different work on your teeth and looking at braces because if your teeth are in a very bad state they’ve seen people people go down the Invisalign route that needed someone to say to them no you need different work done and it didn’t work after they spent thousands. He said you need a good person to tell you which suits

I live overseas so cant compare prices but I opted for the comprehensive package so that all adjustments were included. I had 32 trays, changed every 2 weeks. Then I had 6 weeks of elastics to bring molars down. Then they rescanned and made further trays and I had another 20 trays, changed every 10 days. In total, it took almost 2 years. If I showed you the before photo you'd be amazed that there was so much they could do! Absolutely worth it though, and I have permanent metal retainers so have had no problems at all since the treatment finished nearly 2 years ago.

Massively depends on your teeth as the amount of aligners will determine the length of treatment. A complex case will need comprehensive (more expensive) whereas someone with just a little crowding can get away with lite. Average treatment maybe up to 18 months. Price also massively varies depending on where in the country you are, who your provider is etc. approx 3.5k up to 5k. Get a consultation and see what your specific treatment would be and then decide from there.
