I have a couple of Mulberry bags that are at least 20 years old (y2k Roxannes, Rosemary, Phoebe and Bayswater) but they have all been hand-me-downs or bought second hand.
I’m thinking about buying one brand new and I wonder about the quality of the new Mulberry.
My bags are made of good quality leather but they have all suffered from obvious design flaws and quality defects - popping rivets, sticky inking, dye rubbing off Darwin leather, rivets accumulating gunk underneath to name a few.
I’m craftsy and fixed all those issues myself, including burnishing edges and re dyeing one of my bags from scratch, but I wonder if the new bags require the same level of babysitting and leatherwork skills?
