What's your pop of colour?

I'm so bored of the ubiquitous red as a "pop of colour". I am searching for a pair of cobalt blue leather ballet flats, and I saw a gorgeous sunshine yellow everyday small cross body purse. I also have a fantastic fuschia silk scarf I was given as a gift over the summer. Any interesting colour choices for autumn/winter?

I quite like a deep green for Autumn/Winter.

I was a bit disheartened to see rails and rails of brown clothes this week but apparently the top 'pops' of colour for Autumn/Winter 2026 will be burgundy and blue.

If all else fails, wear what you like or what suits you.

I like burnt orange.

MyManinCaracas · 27/08/2026 21:33

I’m a burnt orange and dark olive person.

Leopard print

Burnt orange is a good call. I agree about brown @SaraHoliday . I can just about get behind burgundy, but I really don't like brown. I have mixed feelings about leopard. I like it on others but not sure about it for me.

Reading Mumsnet and being dyslexic makes for lots of comical misreadings of thread titles!

I love Royal blue and black, with bits of silver. But Royal blue and grey is school-uniformy!

I'm happy about the masses of brown. It's the best dark colour for me, so long as it's a warm toned brown. So, I can stock up good quality basics that suit me. Black is terrible, looks cheap and washes me out (on me, can look great on others). Pops of colour-wise, I stick to richer, warmer tones - like the burnt orange and olive poster above.

I think maybe my flattering colour is Rust. It seems to have been out of fashion for about forty years!

I have blue green DM’s that I wear in autumn/ winter that give a nice pop of colour

AnchorWHAT · 28/08/2026 14:04

This summer i bought lime green trousers and sandals, and a bag.

Bright blue and white - makes the tan look like it’s hanging around for longer 🤣

I keep seeing aqua being mentioned as the colour of the coming season. I love aqua, I’m so bored of pretty much everything else and it makes a change. I’ve not found anything aqua yet though
