Has anyone straightened their teeth with clear aligners this quickly?

I had an appt this morning and was told my teeth could be straightened by Christmas, which seems verrrrry quick! It’s using clear aligners that are changed every 10 days and need to be worn 23 hours a day. I’m tempted to go for it but it sounds almost too good to be true - has anyone had a similar treatment plan and how did it go?

Who was your appointment with? An orthodontist?

I straightened mine in 6 months with Invisalign but they’d previously been straightened when I had braces as a teen, but I didn’t wear my retainer so they moved back a bit. So they weren’t too bad and the space was there, they just needed putting back.

I'm a real clear aligner advocate because DD had the worst thumbsucking misshaped teeth/jaw/mouth you could imagine, the kind that looks like it needs breaking and starting again, and invisalgn solved it all and gave her a Hollywood smile AND pearly whites with some kind of magical magic and no extractions. However it did take 18 months. But yours don't look bad at all, so who knows? Alls I know is, they do work.

I have had ClearCorrect - Invisalign is probably the most well known one, but more expensive and doesn't appear to be much different. Mine was mainly for an overbite, 12 trays (trays are what they call each set of clear aligners), changing every 2 weeks, so 6 months total. I'm almost finished with them and I am pleased with the results. Cost me 2.5k. I'd recommend to others, they aren't miracle workers, but as an adult who doesn't want metal braces they have been a great alternative and they have had the expected result. Your dentist will be able to simulate what your teeth will look like at each stage, so you can see the progress and the end result before you sign up.

As an aside, I was worried that it would make me talk differently and be a big interference in my life - they took a few days to get used to but no speech difference noticed by others, and as long as you are reasonably committed to flossing and brushing (and cleaning your aligners) after each meal you will be fine. I have become a bit more lax over recent weeks (drinking non-water drinks with the aligners in, or not brushing immediately after if it's not convenient) but generally am good with them and the dentist is pleased. The only thing it's changed for me is I rarely snack any more as I can't be bothered with the hassle of cleaning for a biscuit or two! But I just cash in at mealtimes instead 🤣 its also improved my oral hygiene too!

To add, it may take longer than Christmas, but even 6 months to 1 year of clear aligners may be a better option than traditional braces in my opinion.

I had invisalign. I had 16 trays and it took about 6 months. Its does depend heavily on how much needs doing. The more movement needed the more trays you'll need and the longer it will take. I paid £3500 for it but dentists and prices differ greatly. I am thrilled with the way my teeth turned out.
