Has anyone had successful thread vein treatment on lower legs?

Has anyone had successful treatment for removing thread veins from their legs below the knee? Mine are getting worse and l'd love to get them removed but not sure if it actually works!

Electrolysis is brilliant for this and cheap if you can find someone near you

It’s called scelerotherapy and it does work.

Is it the same level of discomfort as IPL on the face? I like IPL in that it's effective in getting ride of rosacea/broken capillaries but it is ouch!

I’ve had scelerotherapy and laser. They both work well. The laser hurts more in my opinion, but was better for tiny blurry blotchy veins if you know what I mean. Scelerotherapy was better for more obvious veins where they can clearly been seen so they can insert the needle. Bear in mind more veins can develop afterwards. I seem to be particularly prone unfortunately so I’ve had them done several times. Definitely worth doing in my view.

@Rosesformygarden can l ask where you had your scelerotherapy procedure done please? ( l'm the S. E) and is it super expensive? I keep seeing lots of ads for vein clinics and the cost is £££! Also l'm worried l might also have a Varicose vein starting and understand that can leak causing the thread veins. It's confusing!

And to both it you, is it best to have it done in winter as you need to wear compression stockings afterwards?

Yes about 10 years ago, and it’s been fine since. They used to ache a lot, got varicose veins from three pregnancies. My neighbour who was a fitness fanatic had twins and hers developed from that, also had hers done. It was day surgery in hospital, I think a week then keeping my leg bandaged for compression assume.
