These are the bridesmaids dresses. Help me find something suitable for MOB. I love feathers, sparkle and chunky platforms. My daughter would like a festival type wedding in Romania so in wood by lake rather than Church

Here

Ruthietuthie · 21/08/2026 17:23

The answer to this is obviously gold lame g-string and nipple tassels, but I am not going to start googling to find you the perfect set.

GreatSave · 21/08/2026 17:23

I’m soooo glad I’m not a bridesmaid

nickyj35 · 21/08/2026 17:32

Love the pink feather and sequin dress. Reasonable price for something I will almost certainly wear only once. The first dresses seemed a bit expensive for one off. The bridesmaids are young , beautiful and would look good in anything. If not doing traditional wedding why not have fun

I'm early 60s and don't think it's fair for me to show too much skin ie bikini gold G-string type stuff😮

I was joking?! As I presume you are too….

nickyj35 · 21/08/2026 17:58

Not joking. UK weddings are crazy prices. They have just bought a house. Plan is to book out whole campsite in Romania so places for people to stay. Not too expensive to get there and have fun but also include time for meaningful exchange of vows. Why wear bridesmaids dresses that have not changed in centuries

Well this is awkward…

Franxi · 21/08/2026 18:43

I’d go for something from Toast if you don’t want to show too much flesh. Or maybe Monsoon (classic MOTB and a bit more hippy vibe) you could look on Vinted if budget is a problem.

Franxi · 21/08/2026 18:44

Definitely not a fascinator though, it’s a bit passé.

Why would anyone think he was a builder just because he's Romanian?
Why did you feel the need to make this comment?

There's a whole plethora of outfits between a "traditional" looking bridesmaid dress which incidentally have changed over the decades and a showgirl / dancer's get up though.

dudsville · 22/08/2026 07:06

This sounds like a lot of fun for them! A friend of mine went to a wedding last year where the bride and BMs wore something similar for the evening do, very Vegas show style adjacent. For MOTB, what do you like? You don't have to buy something for a single wear.

Empress13 · 22/08/2026 07:15

not sure if this is a wind up but they’re awful very tacky. If not then each to their own
