What shoes with this dress?

I’m wearing this dress for an anniversary/vow renewal in September.

Does anyone have any shoe suggestions please?

I generally wear flats but think I want a bit of a heel, and to glam it up a bit, but I am terrible in heels, so nothing too high, and preferably a block for comfort.

Not sure what colour? I was thinking gold/bronze accessories to pick out the brozny colour of some of the flowers?

And thinking a closed toe in case of rain.

Suggestions and links welcome please and thank you ☺️

It is a beautiful dress.

I forgot to ask where is it from?

Izabel London but I got it off Vinted BNWT

Thanks, I was thinking pink, I like those second ones.
I do have some pale pink block heels which I was considering but they are sandals so may not be weather appropriate in September (or may well me if we get another heatwave as predicted!)

I wore these to a wedding recently. I have problem feet but these were comfy all day

Sorry missed what you said about closed toe! Ankle boots could work with that dress

Thanks for the info on the dress. All my clothes are either Vined/eBay or charity shop purchases. It is a stunning dress. I hope you find lovely shoes that you can wear. Enjoy your special event. That sounds so romantic.

Should have said, it’s not my anniversary, it is my dad and his wife’s. I am just a guest ☺️

Hello. I’m still stuck on this so open to any more suggestions.

I LOVE Esska Chaza and keep going back to them but £170!!!

Anyone seen anything similar but cheaper? Or are they worth forking out for?

Esska shoes are worth forking out for. They’re really well made and I’ve worn a pair for years, they look good and they’re very comfortable.Great customer service too. If you love the shoes you won’t be disappointed. I don’t work for them but very happy to recommend.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/09/2026 21:35

How about heeled ankle boots? I generally find them easier to wear than shoes and you’d probably get more wear out of them.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/09/2026 21:35

Lovely dress btw

Askandyforcompo · 02/09/2026 22:06

Monsoon do knock off Esska Charlie's for £65. I wore them for my own wedding last year and they were very comfortable and looked great.

Silver goes with most things and Hotter are good at "comfortable". https://www.hotter.com/duet-heels-metallic-3232

Fly London are also good at comfortable, whilst looking less "grandma" and more "rock chic(k)".

In addition to doing "like Irregular Choice (RIP), but actually wearable", Ruby Shoo are good at solving the "I have my event dress and now need pretty but walkable shoes and matching clutch to go with it" problem.

I like the dress.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I particularly like the Rubyshoos but I have a pair already actually that would work well with the dress but I just can’t walk in them any more. I also have plenty of boots but didn’t want to go down that route.

So I have ordered the Esska Chaza in metallic smoke. I will get loads of wear out them I think that kind of metallic colour goes with everything.

I’d say a dark brown suede court heel
