Easy products for blending grey roots between permanent dye sessions

Is there a product for easy grey blending/ disguising? Ideally like a shampoo or conditioner, something you can easily throw on, doesnt take long and the greys are no longer so obvious?

I have naturally very dark hair but been dying it a dark red for years but now have probably 50% greys and only in early 30s as a new mum. Don't have the time to be maintaining like I used to. I have heard about John Freida but think this is discontinued.. is there anything similar? I just dont want the greys to look white until the next permanent dye session. Any suggestions that actually work? thanks! (Happy for the grey roots to be dyed dark red / dark brown / black etc)

My natural hair colour is probably totally grey 😆! It used to be dark brown and I have it professionally coloured copper at the moment. The Chroma copper is quite ginger so I mixed it with the beige chocolate and it was a pretty good match. The polar red is a bright red and I mix that with medium brown. That gives me a nice deep copper.

Both look pretty natural and leave my hair soft and shiny. The Polar just seems to last longer.

Following. I will have to try Polar. I use the Wella mask sometimes but it's not the best color match for me. There is a similar L'oreal gloss that has a better shade for me but I had picked up in the USA and can't find it on this side of the pond. I have the spray but don't care for it in warmer weather when I might get a bit sweaty

I used the wella hair mask and it did cover the greys but had a bit of a red tinge to it. I now use the L'Oréal magic spray, its great and can definitely stretch a few extra weeks out of it

I’m another that use the wow powder it’s really good stuff. I can’t quite get the spray ones right without covering my scalp and forehead in it.

I once tried the supergloss glaze from superdrug and omg what a mess, it went absolutely everywhere I had to clean my entire bathroom. After all that it didn’t do anything to my greys!

I find the sprays leave a horrible residue on my hair that makes it feel dirty. I am going to try the polar one, I used to be brunette but have gone blonde as it meant the grey roots were far less obvious and got me longer time between colours. Am fuming cos my hairdresser used to do just the parting for colour touch up which meant I only had to do the full colour every 3 months or so (costs a fortune) as she said people were using it to delay getting the full cover )well of course they were cos trying to save a few quid) so by the time they came for the full colour there was so much regrowth she head having to use more colour. All very well and good but I can’t afford (nor don’t need) the full colour every 4 weeks so after ten years with her I’m now thinking of finding another colourist who offers parting touch ups.

An interesting thread. Thank you. I’m mid 40s and blonde. Never dyed my hair. I’ve just got my first white hair and I’m mortified to find that I’m bothered by it. I always thought I’d embrace the grey. It’s not even that noticeable against my natural hair colour, but I’m starting to think I need a bit of yellow tint before there are loads of them.

I use the sprays too, very quick and easy and I find they last well between washes.
