What are your thoughts on the Sézane rebrand?

I have never bought anything full price for the brand and the two items I won are both from the charity shop however what I have seen so far in the email they have sent me is not really appealing to me. The price of some of the jackets and coats is pretty high so far without knowing what the fabric composition.

i think that ,like many brands, look at the styling and outfits and put something together via Vinted or charity shops.

I used to get a lot from them but the price has increased so much in recent years. They look nice on models and there’s always some sizing issue for me. The flip side is that I sold the unwanted pieces on Vinted at a good price.

I used to order a lot from them, particularly when the archives were on, but I’ve not ordered much in the last few years. The clothes were no longer so wearable - lots of things that looked good but were really only suitable for going out out iyswim. Cheaper fabrics and more far east manufacturing had crept in.
I am very interested in the rebrand. I think it needed to refocus. I thought the initial drop last week was interesting and I saw that a couple of things sold out very quickly- the canvas bag in the darker colour which was handbag size (the most practical of the options) and a stunning fluid lace blouse.
Yesterday’s lookbook was a bit of a no for me. There’s oversized and then there’s this! The models are having to contort themselves to make it work. If they stood there straight on to the camera they would looked drowned in it. I say that as someone who’s not averse to an oversized cut myself, but that look seems about 4 years old. I think everyone is going to downsize one or two sizes and they’ll get left with larger sizes unsold. Also the styles are not feeling distinctive and unique to me. Of course the fabrics may be wonderful and that might be the unique selling point but the details have not been revealed yet.
I do like the look of the outerwear though and some of the leather jackets look good in the photos.

I like the oversized knits but oversized knits are my thing. I don’t really see it as a rebrand though? I know they’re marketing it as that but I don’t see any real redirection in what they’re doing, just generating buzz calling it a rebrand.
