Is the autumn/winter season in shops yet?

As per the title. I need to take DD shopping for clothes for when she starts college, but I don’t know whether the new season is in the shops yet. It’s a 4 hour round trip so I don’t want to waste my time!

What shops are you going to ? Look online and see if their online stores have autumn/winter ranges. Where I shop, autumn ranges are trickling in. Definitely mid summer is being replaced and anything left-over is being moved to back rails and being replaced with trans-seasonal/autumn.

Most shops started their autumn range 3 weeks ago. You might struggle for winter coats atm, but for everything else it’s in stock.

Thank you to both of you. I’m not sure about which shops—whatever 16 year olds like. I’m out of touch as DD usually shops on her own.

Urban outfitters in Covent Garden was full of winter stuff on the ground floor yesterday.

DD and I went to Bluewater on Friday. I was looking for a TShirt in M&S but they were getting into A/W big time. DD went to Urban Outfitters,we looked in Uniqlo,H&M and Primark. All A/W. I haven't had my summer holiday yet so putting off buying winter things for now ( though DD got a cardigan from Uniqlo)

Pretty sure every shop you’ll be visiting will have a website. So get your DD to research online first and identify which items she’s interested in are listed as being in stock at the specific branches you’re going to.

There’s absolutely no need to make a journey to physical shops in complete ignorance of what you’ll find any more.
