I know, I am going out tonight and have been told it is jeans and t's, well I don't do jeans and t's as I am a dody goth, I ahve managed to find a pait of sking tight black jeans in the back of the wardrobe, i can actually do them up (which is a miracle in itself) but they are literally cutting me in half, and the muffin top is lovelry, Like skinny bottom half, slim top half and incredibly large middle bit.
Help oh guru's of style p[lease.

Smock top? Or a top that's belted quite high up, accentuating your waist? I have similaer body shape to you, so feel your pain!

maidamess · 27/06/2008 17:19

Can you get to asda or matalan really quickly and get some high top control pants?

Orrrr wear a smocky style top.

Or belt a normal top which will cinch in your waist and balloon the top out over the muffin top.

maidamess · 27/06/2008 17:19

Mrs Mattie, we are of one mind.

Slubberdegullion · 27/06/2008 17:20

I would say spanxs. But as you only have an hour then some elaborate binding with duck tape may do the trick.

That or re-think outfit.

CountessDracula · 27/06/2008 17:21

do you have a very wide belt?

tbh i wouldn't do it
you will have a vile evening as you will be so self conscious and in pain

CountessDracula · 27/06/2008 17:23

do you have a dress?
dresses are the new jeans y'know

maidamess · 27/06/2008 17:23

Why is it jeans?

AttilaTheAntiHun · 27/06/2008 17:25

Don't do it.
But if you must, tie a pashmina/scarf around your middle and bottom. Or wear a mini-skirt pver the jeans (a goth friend of mine does this)

solarpoweredbarbarella · 27/06/2008 17:25

I have millions of dresses, tis friends from playgroup and they stated jeans and i don't really know them that well and I don't want them to think I am a freak and never talk to me again.

maidamess · 27/06/2008 17:26

How bossy is that? YOU MUST WEAR JEANS! That would make me sooo not want to wear jeans. Wear what you want! You are a grown up.

Ok i have given in and changed, I am now wearing an ankle length floaty black skirt, that feels better. I must get spanx for future occasions though.

Agree with Ruby, no point if you look and feel grim.
Wear a dress or casual top and skirt, I have muffin top probs after 2 DCs and swear by low rise jeans covered with empire line smock top type things which skim the fleshy bits.

maidamess · 27/06/2008 17:35

Good for you. And get some spanx. they rock.
