Nope, wedges are never right with a skirt

You can only get away with them with long trousers

A lot of fashion at the moment makes people look like prostitutes (why can't they see it???)

I wear wedges with dresses regularly. And skirts.

I have started to wear wedges..to my eternal shame as I hate them!!!!

problem is, since my car accident and hip probs, I cannot wear heels ((SOB)), and so have lived in flats. MIL got me some wedges and said to try them to give me some support while I get used to heels again.

honestly, I never thought I would actually like wedges......but truly, when they are on, you won;t know OR care, so for now, I wear them.

of course, when I can wear proper heels again, the wedges will be getting thrown given back to MIL...

why no wedges with skirts / dresses ?

i think they look good

i wear wedges a lot with knee length skirts/dresses. mostly peep toe ones. but i do have fab ankles

i wear wedges with skirts and dresses, and I think they look good, not tarty. The tartiness depends more on length and cut of the skirt.
I prefer peep toe.
re calves, I don't think stilettos go with chunky calves. You need a chunky shoe, preferably platform, to slim the leg. All that a stiletto heel does is emphasise the width of the legs.
