What dose of tret do you use if you’ve been on it a while?

I’m on 0.021 with Skin+Me and I definitely notice the difference between using it and not but I wonder if there’s better results I could get with a higher dose or if that’s about it…

I’m on 0.025 daily use but it’s taken my skin a whole year to get used to it… dermatica have upped my prescription to 0.05 so when I start that I will be dropping down to 3 times a week to avoid irritation.

Just an fyi - Amazon sell tret, I think it comes from India. I got 4 tubes for less than £30! All sealed and legit.

Sounds like it might be worth my pushing a bit further to 0.025 or even 0.05 eventually then. I’ve been using about a year maybe and never much irritation or anything.

I’m on 0.025 with Renew+me. It’s only my first month, next delivery is soon to arrive and that’s also 0.025. My next scheduled delivery, next month, is due to go up to 0.05.

Very happy so far with results but obviously it remains to be seen how well my skin will tolerate higher dose. I think a higher dose will no doubt come with better results. How long have you been using it?

I’m on 0.05 with Dermatica. I’ve been at 0.1 in the past (including non Dermatica) but 0.05 suits me and means I don’t get any dryness. It always feels like summer would be the time to go to 0.1 dryness wise but then not because the sun is stronger.

Same here - worked up to 0.1% but it was too harsh for my skin so I went back to 0.05% and that's where I'm staying. From what I understand, the additional benefits are minimal if you increase past 0.05 in comparison to the risk of irritation

@roshi42 , yes the annual cheaper fee includes dose increases

This is what I’ve learnt aswell. No point pushing our skin to the limits if it won’t even be worth it

I’ve been on lower doses most of a year - Skin+Me start you very low and go up incrementally, but they are a bit cheaper than Renew+Me I believe, so now I’ve got to a decent point with them I guess I may as well continue… I’ll try and get to 0.05 I think - I’ve also read that over that has minimal documented improvement.

I order from all day chemist and have done for years now, all good, saves so much money. I get Azaleic acid from there as well. Im on 0.025 tret and that is the sweet spot for me. Higher doses cause irritation. Remember with Tret that higher doses aren't necessarily better. Its consistency that counts. Over the years the difference from the lowest to the highest strength will be negligible. Its about finding the strength that your skin will tolerate
