I have two weddings this September, one is a bit less formal and the other have requested proper formal. I have nothing sorted and I'm lacking inspiration. (Size 16, and 5'3" and allergic to heels)

Can you show me what you've bought for weddings this Summer?

I’m shamelessly joining this thread as I have a couple of weddings coming up and am stumped. Also 5’3” and allergic to heels 🤦‍♀️

I’ve got this dress from River Island for a wedding (5,1”, size 10) wearing it with gold block heels (and won’t be standing like the model)

I’ve ordered this in the sale although not sure what to put on the top for the evening.

However it’s a formal wedding so thinking a block colour, lace number from Coast might be better.

Well, those are both beautiful! I wish I had the legs and arms for both of them! And @UserM6 don't go for a block colour dress, the print on that is absolutely gorgeous.

If only I had the legs for that 😂 Part of my problem is that I don’t do dresses, so I’m somewhat limited.

Have a look at Petite Occasion Dresses on Phase Eight’s site. I got something from there and wore with low block heels and a fascinator for height.

I’ve gone for a dress from Rixo. I’m not sure if it’s formal enough but I’m past caring now. I’ve looked at way too many dresses the last few months!

Thanks. It looks good in real life the gold and blue look good with my tan. Not sure if it’s formal enough.

@UserM6 I love your dress too. The print and colour is fabulous. I can’t think of where to get a jacket but something makes me think Monsoon might be worth a look?

I keep getting ads on fb for “paradox London” offering matching bags and shoes in loads of colours but I have no idea if they’re a decent company or not.

Just to say jacket and shoe shopping is a disaster so far.
Nothing that covers my dress is formal enough or suits the style of dress.
All the shoes are blush, nude or ivory. I really need primrose yellow. Next also have the ones in the photo (buttermilk) but way too high for me.

Oh god, I've been putting off shopping for a wedding that wants "autumn colours" for all guests (no, not the bonkers one that wanted brown and burgundy suits for men).

I'm a pale washed out person with greyish eyes, greyish hair and a pink nose. Even with makeup I'm not going to suit autumn colours. Eep.

Does green count as autumnal? Or mid blue? I mean, this year, all the seasons are upended anyway?
