Best shampoo for grey hair

My hair is now a mix of grey and my original colour which was light brown.

I don't get on with purple shampoo as they make my scalp itch.

Sounds like you need a sulphate free purple shampoo. Aveda do one, a bit pricey but worth it. Clarifying shampoo’s are good for yellowing from product build up or leave apple cider vinegar on hair for 15 mins before rinsing off. Nothing will fix yellowing from sun scorching though.

I use a black hair mask - tones everything down

I use touch of silver brightening purple shampoo once a week but not in the shower. I wash at the sink so the shampoo doesn’t touch my scalp. Comb it through and leave for 3 mins, works great.

Oh I have the same hair by the sounds of it and have had itchy issues with some purple shampoo but I recently splashed out on the L’Oréal professional one and it’s great. No itchy scalp, hair that is shiny and looks like I’ve had highlights. I do also do a weekly wash with aveeno cider vinegar shampoo.
