Anyone know what the sizing is like at Nobody’s Child?

Seen a couple of dresses I like. I’m a 12/14 usually. Lots of Boden dresses and tops that are 12s but shorts or trousers usually 14s.

Any other thoughts on quality? They seem to have a nice selection but difficult until you’ve actually seen stuff

Personally I think it runs a bit small in fitted styles.

Britpopbaby · 03/08/2026 17:29

I think it’s best to try on as it very much depends on the style. I have long starlight dresses and the short starlight dresses don’t fit in the same size.

Bit small

mrsscroodledoodle · 03/08/2026 19:26

I would say they run a little small, but their oversized look items are definitely oversized, you don't need to size up.

supercalifragilistic123 · 03/08/2026 19:44

I've only bought a skirt from there but I wish I'd got a size smaller. It's lovely quality though 100% cotton and layered.

I want to buy more but I'm a bit put off because I don't know what size to buy! I hate buying lots and returning.

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 03/08/2026 19:53

I tried a 12 at the weekend, am definitely a 12, but I would've had to get a 14.

RodneyKitten · 03/08/2026 19:54

Tight.

Princessfluffy · 03/08/2026 20:18

I find the tops run small

TimSamandLulu · 03/08/2026 20:24

Dresses are a little small but knitwear and coats pretty big, in my experience.

Frazzledinmyforties · 03/08/2026 20:27

I go between 12 and 14 and I love Nobody’s Child. If it’s meant to be fitted I get a 14, if it’s meant to be loose then I get a 12 or it looks too big.

VegQueen · 03/08/2026 20:28

They sell their stuff in John Lewis if you want to go and try some stuff on to get your size.

Visiblyabove25 · 03/08/2026 20:29

I think their dresses generally run small

Pattygonia · 03/08/2026 20:29

I’ve got some dresses with quite fitted bodices and like pps have had to size up. Am a true UK size 12 but for these styles have needed a size 14

RebeccaDecember · 03/08/2026 20:30

I find it true to size initially but a lot of their stuff seems to shrink…

cityliving99 · 03/08/2026 20:30

The dresses are snug against the hips, if you are buying a fitted dress. If in between go for the larger size.

PlantainArama · 03/08/2026 20:32

I couldn't make the starlight dress work on me in any size. I'm tall with big boobs and it wanted my chest much higher up than possible. They do currently claim to have a new fit in that style so I'm intrigued to know if I ought to try again. Agree with others on them running a tiny bit small in general. Nice quality though.

MummyofTw0 · 03/08/2026 20:32

Runs small

Snorlaxo · 03/08/2026 20:35

My local m&s and John Lewis stock it

TeenLifeMum · 03/08/2026 20:35

I’m 12-14 (hips are wide) but hour glass and in nobody’s child I’m size 12 so I’m quite surprised by all the comments. Maybe shape varies.

SellFridges · 03/08/2026 20:39

I’m going against the grain here, but I think it runs a bit large. Several times I’ve had to send back a 16 and get a 14 instead and I’m large boobed and definitely a 16 elsewhere.

hellotomrw · 03/08/2026 20:43

I find true to size but I have a small bust. I also had to return my usual 16 for a 14 in one dress.
